Cách xưng hô với đối phương
Dialogue 1
A: Hello, Jim. Nice to see you again.
B: Nice to see you too, Mary. I haven't see you for a long time. How is everything going on?
A: Not bad. How about you? I thought you were in Japan.
B: I was. I come back yesterday on vacation.
A: How would you like to have a coffee and talk more?
B: Why not?
Dialogue 2:
A: Welcome you, Mr Lang Wei!
B: Thank you. I'm deligted to be working here, Mr Buchwald.
A: Call me Buck, will you? My name is Reginald Buchwald but everybody calls me Buck. it's easier.
B: I would hesitate to call you anything but Mr Buchwald. Isn't rather disrespectful to make a nickname out of family name?
A: Well. everybody in this company all the way up and down the line is called by his or her firstname. It's been our tradition ever since the company was small. And don't worry about the disrespectful business. OK?
B: I'll try.
A: Good. But when there are outsiders, like business people from other companies, it might be good practice to address you higherups as Mr, Ms or whatever is appropriate.
